Carolyn Leigh (Bemis) Ringhofer, age 75, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, December 13, 2017 after a long battle with Alzheimer's. She is survived by loving husband of 55 years, Richard, longtime residents of Minnetonka. She was devoted mother to Chuck (Carolyn) and Jay Ringhofer, grandmother to Annie, Nick, Jack, Will and Harry Ringhofer. Carolyn was born in Minneapolis to Lee and Winnie Bemis and raised in Edina. She graduated from Mankato State University with a degree in Elementary Education and a Library Minor. She taught second grade in Gaylord, Minnesota until devoting all of her time to raise her boys. She was a Cub Scout Den Leader and later Pack Leader. She was sure to attend almost all baseball, football & basketball games, as well as tennis and wrestling matches. She also supported all the teams Rich coached though the years, and later watching her grandchildren's sporting events. She enjoyed many memorable fun times with family and friends camping in the early years, and later spending time at the log cabin on Smith Lake for 25 years. She also enjoyed traveling, working with Vangard Travel as an office manager after the boys were grown. Being an Arizona snowbird for 18 years gave her a new group of friends and good times with family during the warm Arizona winters. She loved her home in Sun City West. A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, December 23rd at 10:30 a.m., with visitation 1/2 hour before, at St. Mary of the Lake Catholic Church, 105 Forestview Ln N, Plymouth, MN 55441. We will miss our "Christmas Carolyn" who brought so much joy to so many, especially at this time of year.
