David Allen Kellesvig

August 25, 1941 — April 8, 2024

New Brighton

David Allen Kellesvig, 82, of New Brighton, MN, entered into heaven Monday, April 8, 2024. He was born August 25, 1941 to William H. and Edna M. (Paulson) Kellesvig and grew up near Mt Horeb, WI. David married Eileen M. Phernetton on August 15, 1967 and raised their four children in a house he designed and built. In David's more spry days, he was active volunteering his time with many organizations including: Atonement Lutheran Church, Civil Air Patrol, and MS Society. He also enjoyed the outdoors with hunting and fishing and using his engineering skills to build 'projects' and help his children with their houses. 

David is survived by his children: Andrea (Kurt) Olson, Brent Kellesvig, and Cheri (John) Schneider; grandsons: Wyatt, Derek, Tyler and Nolan; wife Yanqin; former wife Eileen; brothers: Paul Kellesvig and Robert (Marsha) Kellesvig. 
David is preceded in death by his daughter Danica Lee Kellesvig, parents William and Edna, step-father Kennell Helgeson, and sisters-in-law: Dawn Kellesvig, Elaine Nix and Bonnie Strausbaugh.

Memorials preferred in lieu of flowers to MS Society, Civil Air Patrol, or a charity of your choice.

A celebration of his life will be held at Atonement Lutheran Church in New Brighton, MN on Wednesday, May 1st with Pastor Cassie presiding. A visitation will be held at the church, followed by a service, and then fellowship.
