Debra Kay Barstad

Debra Kay Barstad, age 54, peacefully passed away on 12/03/2023.

Deb was born on 11/14/1969 to Dennis and Virginia Barstad in Fosston, MN. 

She loved music and dancing. Many would say that she was the life of the party. Deb enjoyed making people smile. She cared a lot about people, and she loved to share stories over a cup of coffee or a piece of candy, especially dark chocolate.

Deb suffered with Multiple Sclerosis for nearly 20 years and even though she struggled with the disease, she always tried to get through each day with humor. She was a self-proclaimed free spirit, and her spirit was very strong. She was very sassy and quick-witted.

She is survived by her Aunt Valerie Fritz, her Sister Dana Plante and her children Kyle and Justin Edevold, Ashley Snell, Cortney Kjonaas, McKenzie, Philip and Abigail Platt, her grandchildren, Zaedyn, Kyrie, Khaliiah, Oliver, Phoenix and Archer. She had two children that were adopted into loving families.

Celebration of life is tbd due to holidays.
