Dennis Allen Turner

Dennis Allen Turner, 75, passed away peacefully on December 26, 2023 in Fridley, MN with his daughter and son at his side after a courageous battle with pulmonary fibrosis.   

Dennis was born on December 21, 1948 in Minneapolis, MN.  Dennis worked in sheet metal fabrication, engineering, and most recently in IT until he retired to his home in Brainerd, MN.  He kept very busy during his retirement, with multiple projects going all of the time. Dennis was known for his willingness to help and would set aside his own projects to jump in and assist others with their endeavors including designing and fabricating custom parts, building, landscaping, and much more. He enjoyed repairing things or coming up with unique solutions to various problems. Dennis had a creative and ingenious mind and even in the last days of his life was trying to concoct better and easier ways to navigate challenging problems.  When not tinkering in his workshop, Dennis enjoyed tending to his wildflower garden and watching the abundant wildlife on his property in Brainerd. 

Dennis was preceded in death by his parents, Carrie and Harvey Turner and one sister.  He is survived by his daughter, Sheri (Jake) Hinrichs of Fridley, son Robby Turner of Fridley, 3 grandchildren, 3 sisters and 3 brothers, as well as other family and friends. 

A memorial service for Dennis will be held on December 30^th, 2023, 1-4 pm at Choice Cremation, 7398 University Ave NE, Fridley, MN 55432
