Dolores Ann (Sargent) Keogh, age 76, of Osseo, (formerly East Bethel), passed away peacefully on March 9, 2019. Preceded in death by her husband, Jack; daughter, Roxanne McCormick; sisters, Luella Mae, Sharon Boyd, June Boyd; brothers, Michael, Clifford, Melvin Jr. "Ducky," Edwin "Fred." She was a beautiful person, Mother, Grandmother and Great-grandmother. Dolores was born on December 4, 1942 and grew up on the White Earth Indian Reservation in Northern Minnesota. When she was 18 years old Dolores visited Minneapolis where she met and fell in love with Jack McCormick. They were united in holy matrimony at her home in Beaulio, MN. Shortly after they moved and settled down on the Iron Range specifically Embarras, MN. Dolores' true profession was as a tailor and designer. She truly loved her vocation and was one of the last self-taught designers in her community and she continued this trade up until her time of passing. Although Dolores lived a distance away from her native people she was a true Indian at heart, designing and making jingle dresses for native girls to dance when they went to pow-wows. In addition, she would make ribbon shirts for the men and would give them away. Dolores was a remarkable woman and will be greatly missed. She is survived by her 5 children, Jimmie (Maliena), Raylene (Robbie) Anderson Urke, Johnny (Heidi), Michael, Jody; 3 brothers, Alvin Sr., Douglass (Debbie), Donovan; 13 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren.
