Elizabeth Eckert

Elisabeth "Liz" Ann Eckert 79, passed away Thursday May 19th 2022. She was born April 3th 1943 to Mary and Wayne Wheatley in Gum Springs AR. She attended Columbus High School in Nebraska, where she played Softball and was a cheerleader and graduated in 1962. Liz loved her family dearly, going to church every Sunday, Gardening, traveling and watching football. Liz survived by her husband Rick Eckert, her stepsons Tom, Chris and Lyle Eckert. Daughter in Laws Jenni Mathews and Karissa Eckert. Granddaughters Falon Boyd and Keela Eckert. Grandsons Colton Mathews, Gaerlen Eckert and Keegan Eckert and Great grandson Parker Mathews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sons Scott Mathews and Robert Wayne Mathews and her Brother Gary Wheatley. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 AM with a visitation starting at 10:00 AM on Thursday, June 16th at Grace Point Church, 2351 Rice Creek Rd, New Brighton, MN 55112.
