Elizabeth Karen Hewitt

Elizabeth (Liz) Karen Hewitt (Gilles), born January 7, 1974, of Blaine, MN, formerly of Columbia Heights, MN, passed away very unexpectedly on Friday, October 1, 2021, at her home. She will be deeply missed by her high school sweetheart and loving Husband of 25 years Matthew, Daughters, Helen (11) and Hannah (8); Sister Rachel (Tim) Castle; Niece Emalyn (12) and Nephew Jordan (7) as well as Aunts, Uncle and other family and friends. Preceded in death by her Mother Dorothy Gilles (Meyer) and Father Lazarus Gilles. She was best known for her strong voice in children's education, and she served on the Jefferson Elementary PTO as Treasurer. She also served on the board of the Northstar Chapter APA since 2015, first as Vice President, then President and Past President, and finally as Treasurer. Hobbies were few because spending time with her family was so dear to her. If time allowed, you would find her enjoying a good book, watching the birds at her feeders, or enjoying a relaxing gaze at the flowers she planted each spring. Memorial service 2 pm Friday, October 29, 2021 - King of Glory Lutheran Church, 10103 University Ave NE, Blaine, MN with visitation starting 1 hour prior to service. Interment Morningside Memorial Gardens at 3 pm and returning to King of Glory Lutheran Church for a small reception.
