June Marie Reponen

June Marie Reponen passed away January 5, 2025 in Fridley, MN at the age of 101. She was born in Duluth, MN on March 15, 1923. She grew up in Duluth with her parents, Max and Lorraine Schram, and six siblings. She graduated from Duluth High School and married Calvin Reponen in 1946 after World War II. They moved to Esko, MN where they raised two children, Diane and Calvin (Bud). June started her career at Bell Telephone Company and General Electric. Later, she worked in retail at Shoppers City and Glass Block. She enjoyed spending time at Island Lake and time with family, especially the little ones. She was also an avid reader who especially enjoyed Danielle Steel books. Her sweet treats were enjoyed by many, especially oatmeal raisin cookies and brownies.

She is survived by children, Diane (Ron) Maunu and Calvin (LoAnn) Reponen; Grandchildren, Denise (Jeff) Morris, Jennifer (Greg) Huge, Callie Cloutier, Michael (Tara) Reponen and Natalie (Michael) LaRusso; Great Grandchildren, Jordan, Rachel, Alaina (Caleb), Ava, Henry, Layla, Avelene, Ashlynn, and Willa. June was preceded in death by husband Calvin; Brothers William and Jerome Schram; Sisters Maxine Gerard, Joanne Woods, Patsy Salo/Holmgren and Darla Peterson/Pease; and Grandchildren, Steven, Melissa, and Joel.

A private gathering will be held at Bel Rae Senior Living.
