Kenneth Delano Soderquist, 80, died in his sleep on Thursday, December 28th, 2017 at his home in Blaine, MN. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Marilee Soderquist, and his two daughters, Teresa Klostreich [Kent] and Sonia Simms [Don] and also by his grandchildren (Christopher Soderquist, Klaire Hubbard, Garrett Robinson, Thomas, Adam and Andrew Schaefer and Kyle Odenthal) and several great-grandchildren. Ken was born in Duluth, MN to Ethel and Raymond Soderquist on October 3rd, 1937. He served in the military and graduated from the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis/St. Pail. In 1967, he married Marilee and they settled down in Robinsdale, and later in Blaine Minnesota. Ken worked for many years at Medtronic, where he was employed as a chemist. He was a member of Alcoholics Anonymous for 42 years, where he mentored and was mentored by many people. He was an avid bowler and golfer. He had a unique sense of humor, and passed it on to both of his children. He was the king of dad jokes. He will be sorely missed by all who knew him and will be remembered with fondness by his family. Funeral Services will be on Friday January 5th, 2018 at 11:00 at Blaine United Methodist Church, 621 115th Ave NE, Blaine, MN 55434, with interment at Fort Snelling at a future date and time.
