Larry Pankratz age 69 of Andover, MN passed away Feb 25, 2018 after a brave and courageous 3 year battle with kidney cancer. A celebration of his life will be held at Hope Lutheran Church, 16180 Round Lake Blvd. NW, Andover, MN on Saturday, March 3. Visitation from noon to 1 pm, followed by a memorial service at 1 pm. Larry was a proud veteran of the US Army, serving from 1968-1970 in Izmir, Turkey in the Security Communications Unit. Larry passionately loved the great outdoors, fishing, hunting, and witnessing the beauty of wildlife. He loved working in the yard creating wildlife habitat, and also had a chef's touch in the kitchen. Larry is survived by his loving wife, Sue, of 22 years, and sons Chad and Marc, brother Don (Carol), many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by parents, Walter and Marion Pankratz; and his brother, Jerry Pankratz. Special "thanks" to the staff on 2nd floor at Mercy Hospital and the VA Oncology staff for their kind, compassionate care.
