Marguerite Rose Dusenka

Mom, aka Nana, passed away November 1, 2024, at the age of 86. She is preceded in death by husband James; parents John and Sophia Smuda; siblings John Smuda and Kathleen Morrison; daughter in-law Sharon; grandson Scottie. She will be deeply missed by her children James (loving partner Kassie), Todd (special friend Patti), Jeffrey (Peggy), Glenn (girlfriend Cindy), Lisa Stromberg (Paul); grandchildren Christopher (fiancé Nikki), Olivia, Kelsey (Kelsey), Alicia, Mikey (Suan), Josh; great grandchildren Colie, Avery, Chase; sister Theresa and cousin Rosemary; special cousin Paula, special friend and neighbor Barb, and many other wonderful relatives and friends.

Mom was an excellent cook, seamstress, homemaker, and caretaker. She always put others first. She held a deep love for her family and adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her passions were simple throughout her life. She enjoyed retail shopping until she couldn’t, and then discovered a new joy in online shopping. Specifically jewelry! She frequently bought things she thought others would like, and gave away many pieces to people that were special to her. Mom was always thinking of others.

Funeral services Wednesday, November 13 at Holy Cross Church, 1621 University Avenue NE, Minneapolis. Visitation at 10 a.m. and holy mass at 11 a.m. Private internment at a later date.
