Randy Lee Kuhlman

April 30, 1960 — September 12, 2023

Andover

Randy Lee Kuhlman, 63, passed away peacefully on September 12, 2023, surrounded by loved ones.

Randy was born in Mora, MN and grew up in Finlayson where he learned to love the outdoors, hunting, and country life. In the 5th grade Randy met Kathy, the love of his life. They married on September 20, 1980, and have two devoted daughters, Jessica and Kelly, who he adored every day of their lives.

Randy was a creative and highly skillful craftsman. If it was broken, he could fix it. He passed much of that knowledge on to his girls and grandkids.

Randy loved spending time at the Shack with his brother Steve. The two brothers spent many afternoons riding around the back roads filling their truck with unique antiques and other treasures from auctions and garage sales to resell or stash away.

Randy's very favorite days were spent with his beautiful family. He watched his family grow over the years as he gained 2 sons-in-law and 6 beloved grandkids that were his true pride and joy. Each kid has a hammer with their name on it hanging in Grandpa's shop. It was in that shop that Grandpa taught the grandkids how to build stuff, fix stuff and most importantly how to live a life of unselfish giving, common sense and decency.
Old fashioned values that Randy held all of his life.

Randy was generous in helping family, friends, neighbors or strangers. He gave so much of his time and talents to help absolutely anyone. His heart was bigger than the sky. And he gave the longest, most sincere hugs. You truly felt special and protected when you were around Randy.

Randy never talked to you without making you laugh and telling you "I love you."

Randy was preceded in death by his father, Harry Kuhlman. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Kathy; daughters Jessica (Derek) Anderson; Kelly (Andy) Robinson; grandchildren Brent, Nolan, Blake, Zane, Ainsley and Aspen; mother, Marge; brothers Mike (Gail), Dennis (Kim), and Steve (Susie); and many other loving relatives and friends.

Randy's Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 23, at the Shack, 1587 300th Avenue, Mora, MN 55051 followed by lunch and time to celebrate Randy.
