Roseanne Hodge

May 4, 1943 — March 1, 2022

Roseanne Schuster Hodge, age 78, passed away from natural causes on March 1st, 2022. Rosie was born on May 4th, 1943, in Minneapolis, MN, to John and Flo Schuster. She graduated from Roosevelt High School in South Minneapolis in 1962 and later returned to school to become a nursing assistant. She worked as a nursing assistant for over 30 years at OBGYN West in Eden Prairie where she was often called "Needles" for her impeccable blood draw skills and was well loved by doctors and staff. She was also a devoted caretaker for her mother during this time. Rosie enjoyed gardening, bird watching, puzzle games, snuggling her cats, Gracie and Ginger, and crocheting blankets for everyone in her family. She loved to cook and was known for spending a weekend with her grandchildren and cooking up all their favorites. She never arrived without gifts or treats for everyone, but always handed them out to the dogs first. She leaves behind her life partner of more than 40 years, Bob, and a close-knit group of lifelong friends whom she considered family. Together they shared many adventures at "The Girls' Cabin Parties" near Zimmerman where Rosie loved to swim and sunbathe. They also loved to drink wine, and enjoy steak and lobster dinners together. Roseanne was preceded in death by her parents, John and Fleurine (Ristine) Schuster. Roseanne is survived by her life partner, Robert Luehne of Bloomington; brother, John "Jack" Schuster, Jr. and wife Laurine of Bloomington; son, Michael Hodge and partner Bridget Aeshliman of Milaca; daughter, Michelle Hodge and wife Jennifer of Eagle Lake; daughter-in-law, Karen Hodge of St. Cloud; Brian Luehne and wife Laura of Chanhassen; Katie (Luehne) Bindewald and husband Geof of Osseo; 12 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
