In Loving Memory of Donald M (90) and Rosemary F House (92). Don married his high-school sweetheart, Rosemary Francisco on July 28, 1950. Their marriage of 70 years brought 5 children: Donald Jr. (Liz), Steve (Karen), Rick (Barb), Diane (Gregory) Messner, and Peggy (Jeff) Dusenka. Don and Rosemary were also blessed with 18 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
Donald was born October 3, 1930, in Cameron, Missouri to Nova & Bertha (Hedrick) House and passed away on December 7, 2020, in Blaine, MN. Don graduated from Kansas University with a degree in Electrical Engineering and went on to spend 42 years in the field working a variety of roles, including classified national-security jobs that involved several relocations of their family from coast to coast. In 1966 Don & the family settled in Minnesota, and he started a long tenure at Honeywell in Minneapolis. He retired from Honeywell in 1994 and continued working as a QS/ISO consultant until age 77.
His clever jokes, lovable smirks, impeccable grammar, and affinity for tech gadgets are missed by his family. He was a skilled woodworker, a big fan of the Twins, lover of all family dogs, and esteemed owner of the TV remote. During his retirement years, he and Rosemary were able to travel the world, visiting nearly all the continents.
Rosemary was born on November 15, 1931, in Lockwood Kentucky, to Bart and Hessie Francisco. Rosemary passed away on February 4, 2024, at her residence in Anoka, MN. Rosemary was known for her vibrant spirit, love for travel, her penchant for elephants, and all things pink. She was known for her culinary skills (best ever hot fudge), green thumb, and love of desserts. Rosemary's warmth and unconditional love touched the lives of all who knew her. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered as a compassionate and devoted daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. Rosemary's memory will forever be cherished by her younger brother, Leonard Francisco.
Donald and Rosemary are preceded in death by son Donald Jr., son-in-law Gregory Messner, and great grandson Kendall Logan Jr.
