Sandra Ann Lehrke (née Crohn): A Life Stitched with Love and Care.

Sandra Ann Lehrke, a woman whose life was as intricately woven as the quilts and garments she lovingly crafted, passed away peacefully on January 18, 2024, at Mercy Hospital in Coon Rapids, Minnesota. She was 75 years old.

Born on June 16, 1948, Sandra dedicated 55 remarkable years to the nursing profession, tending to countless patients with her trademark warmth and unwavering compassion. Even after hanging up her scrubs, her passion for healing continued through her needle and thread. Sandra found immense joy in sewing dresses and bags for various charities, bringing comfort and a touch of her artistry to those in need.

But Sandra's life wasn't confined to threads and stitches. She was also a devoted educator, having taught and led the Medical Assistant program at Anoka Technical College for many years. Her dedication to nurturing future healthcare professionals left a lasting impact on countless students.

Beyond her professional pursuits, Sandra embraced life with an infectious zest. She relished the simple pleasures - whipping up delicious meals for loved ones, tending to her garden, and losing herself in a good book. Her infectious laughter and boundless capacity for love left an indelible mark on everyone who knew her.

Sandra was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Daryl, her son Christopher Reed, her father Clyde, her mother Vivian, and her brother James. She is survived by her sons, Robb, Mike, and Greg, who will forever cherish her memory.

Sandra's legacy extends far beyond the beautiful creations she left behind. It lives on in the hearts of those she touched with her kindness, humor, and unwavering spirit. She was a wife, mother, mentor, and friend who taught everyone around her the art of weaving love and care into the fabric of life.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be directed to the Animal Humane Society, a cause close to Sandra's heart.
