Steven James Evans, age 50 of Centerville, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family after suffering a stroke and blood infection on November 24, 2021. Preceded in death by his father Robert. Survived by his sons Brenden (Megan) and Brady (Kate); former wife Christine; mother Margaret; sisters Lynette (Hoveland) and Merrie(Bogdanovich); several nieces and nephews; and many other family and friends. Steve was born and raised in St. Paul, went to Mahtomedi High School, then graduated from White Bear Lake High School. Steve loved to cook and spent his career managing restaurant kitchens. Steve was first and foremost a loving dad. He cherished raising his kids and relished in being a fun and goofy dad. His many interests include: being outdoors, hunting, 4-wheeling, muscle cars, demolition derbies, setting off fireworks (watch those snaps!), working in his garage, and the MN Wild. Steve had just recently signed up to be an organ donor. May there be peace in the lasting gifts he has given. Memorial service 11 am Tuesday, November 30, 2021 -Our Saviors Lutheran Church, 9185 Lexington Ave NE, Circle Pines MN with visitation starting 1 hour prior to service. Cemetery service immediately following - Elmcrest Cemetery, St Paul. Family requests casual attire - jeans and hoodies or anything MN Wild. Masks required.
