Thomas Robert Hornsby

Thomas ‘Tom’ R. Hornsby, age 56, passed away surrounded by his loving family, October 25, 2023.

Tom loved his family dearly and enjoyed taking family trips, coaching his kids’ sports teams and cheering on his family in their accomplishments. He was kind and always willing to help others with projects and their needs. An avid hunter and fisherman, Tom enjoyed sharing his love of the outdoors with family and friends. Tom graduated from Anoka High School in 1985 and worked for the Anoka County Highway Department for 34 years where he developed great friendships.

He is survived and deeply missed by his wife of 35 years, Nancy; children Stephanie (Ben) Brandon, Trevor (Stacey) Hornsby, and Lindsey Hornsby; grandchildren Henry and Hailey; mother Kay Hornsby; and three sisters Mary, Barb, and Sue; as well as extended family and friends. Tom was preceded in death by his father Robert ‘Bob’ Hornsby.

Funeral Mass of Christian Burial, 11AM November 3 at St. Stephen’s Catholic Church, 525 Jackson St., Anoka. Visitation at the church at 10AM. Private interment to be held at a future date.
